About the Role:
Wiley is seeking a visionary VP of Product & Technology to lead the strategy and execution of our Assessments product portfolio, including the development of a scalable platform to power future growth. This role will unify efforts across product, design, engineering, and external partners to deliver high-impact, AI-enabled experiences that unlock human potential. With responsibility for 4 global brands—Everything DiSC®, The Five Behaviors®, The Leadership Challenge®, and PXT®—you’ll shape how we simplify and scale user and buyer experiences across our ecosystem. 
  • Drive discovery, development and delivery for overall product strategy and roadmap in alignment with the Assessment Business vision and goals. 
  • Inspire and lead the product and technology teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture, that enables execution and delivery against a singular vision for Assessments 
  • Work closely with technology and design teams to prioritize and manage product development efforts, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies and support phased GTM strategy to drive faster adoption for business-related product launches 
  • Foster new MVP approach to conducting market research, instilling speed and clarity on customer needs, opportunities for product innovation, and competitive differentiation. 
  • Champion the responsible use of AI across the product portfolio, steering the evolution of our proprietary model and unlocking new ways to support users through intelligent, context-aware experiences. 
  • Continue to build internal design and development practices to drive thinking and lead technology builds to ensure repeatability within platform.   
  • Participate heavily with the Assessments leadership team: help set business strategy, represent the product platform in our strategic planning, initiate and debate key strategic topics and opportunities, and drive bold high-impact decisions 
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment across all departments regarding product goals, progress, and challenges 
  • Instill an inclusive team culture that is passionate, pragmatic, accountable and collaborative.
  • Collaborate with other product and technology leaders across Wiley’s other divisions to reduce redundancy, share best practices, and optimize our investments
Product Strategy and Leadership: 
  • Develop and communicate comprehensive product strategy aligned with business objectives 
  • Define product roadmap, prioritize features, and manage product lifecycle from conception to launch 
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user research to inform product decisions 
  • Establish product metrics, KPIs, and success criteria to measure product performance 
  • Lead product discovery processes and validate product-market fit initiatives 
Technology Leadership 
  • Oversee technology architecture, infrastructure, and engineering practices 
  • Drive technical decision-making regarding platform scalability, security, and performance 
  • Establish engineering standards, best practices, and development methodologies 
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and frameworks 
  • Ensure robust security practices and compliance with industry standards 
Team Management and Development 
  • Build, lead, and mentor high-performing product and engineering teams 
  • Recruit top talent and establish strong team culture focused on innovation and delivery 
  • Provide career development opportunities and foster professional growth 
  • Manage team performance, set goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations 
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between product, engineering, design, and 
Strategic Planning & Execution 
  • Partner with members of Assessments leadership team to align product and technology strategy with business goals 
  • Develop and manage product and technology budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships 
  • Drive agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives

Customer & Market Focus
