We are hiring a hands-on, strategic leader to transform our data function. The Vice President (VP) of Data & Analytics will architect and operationalize a scalable data strategy that empowers insight-driven decision-making across the business. This role combines deep technical expertise with executive-level influence. You’ll work cross-functionally across Product, GTM, Finance, Engineering, and Legal to deliver business-critical insight to support Labster’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Leadership
- Own and communicate a data vision that aligns with Labster’s strategic goals.
- Manage data technology stack, including road map and budget to ensure tooling aligns with business needs and scale
- Build and mentor a high-performing data team
- Partner with Executive and Functional Leaders to define and prioritize strategic data initiatives that drive deep business value
- Lead change management efforts across the company to drive data-informed decision making and build trust in new tools, metrics and processes
Execution & Architecture
- Centralize and reconcile core business metrics (ARR, NRR, customer usage, pipeline), including implementation of robust customer cube
- Oversee architecture and modeling in BigQuery, dbt, Looker, and Metaplane.
- Serve as the connective tissue to data across departments by ensuring Finance, GTM, Product, and Strategy leaders are equipped with data analysis and insights they trust and use
- Lead a cross-functional planning process to prioritize data initiatives based on business impact, ensuring alignment with GTM, Finance, Product, and Strategy goals
- Build scalable systems and scalable habits by empowering self-serve insights, data literacy, and shared ownership of key metrics
Predictive & AI-Ready Analytics
- Build predictive GTM analytics (lead scoring, sales forecasting, pipeline conversion).
- Implement impactful AI tools in internal operations to drive efficiency and productivity gains across all aspects of the business
- Partner with Strategy and Product teams to automate operational workflows
Requirements
- 8+ years in data roles, including at least 3 years managing data/analytics teams.
- Experience in SaaS, with strong exposure to GTM, customer, and financial data.
- Hands-on SQL and modeling capability; experience with modern data stack (BigQuery, dbt, Looker).
- Track record of building centralized metrics and reporting across a business.
- Experience supporting M&A, exits, or due diligence processes is a strong plus.
- Comfort operating at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder alignment skills.
- Passion for enabling smarter decisions through trustworthy data.
Bonus Points
- Experience in EdTech, healthtech, or simulation-based businesses
- Experience with AI/ML product enablement or GenAI readiness
- Data storytelling or stakeholder education skills (evangelizing data usage company-wide)
