POSITION SPECIFICS
A Web and Creative Designer is being sought to help design and maintain the College of the Liberal Arts' portfolio of 150+ visually compelling websites that spur engagement with, and enthusiasm for, the college and its units.
Collaborating with other members of the college's Web and Creative Services Team, the Web and Creative Designer will also assist with the conceptualization and production of multimedia content and promotional materials that inspire and engage key stakeholders and support the college's strategic priorities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Build, update, and maintain web pages using authoring or scripting languages, as well as content creation and digital media tools.
  • Create layouts, graphics, and visual components and integrate multimedia elements such as video, audio, animation, and interactive features to enhance engagement.
  • Monitor performance across the college's websites using analytics tools and performance indicators.
  • Help design and administer surveys and usability studies to ensure websites are intuitive and user‑centered.
  • Conduct browser and device compatibility testing to verify that web pages function correctly across platforms.
  • Collaborate with team members and key stakeholders to discuss website priorities.
  • Assist with designing and producing multimedia content, Liberal Arts-themed merchandise, and promotional items.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of tutorials and training resources for website editors.

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Previous web/creative design experience in a higher education setting
  • Familiarity with WordPress
  • Experience in search engine optimization
