Job Description
SUMMARY: The Workforce Planner plays a critical role in ensuring that our organization has the right people, with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time to meet current and future business needs. This individual will be responsible for long-term term resource planning and ongoing operational resource management across multiple projects and portfolios. Through the collection, governance, and analysis of resource and planning data, this individual will assist and advise PMO Operations in effectively aligning capacity with demand, identifying risks and under-/over-allocated resources, developing strategies, and implementing solutions.

Demand Forecasting:
- Analyze individual and consolidated resource demands across the enterprise. Analyze historical data, business trends, strategic plans, and project plans to identify needs across different departments and roles. Inform data-driven decisions to plan work efficiently.
- Develop and maintain workforce planning models and tools to effectively allocate and utilize resources. Review and maintain data entry as required.
- Collaborate with business leaders and project managers to understand upcoming projects and initiatives that may impact workforce demands.
Capacity Analysis:
- Capacity Planning: Ensuring the organization has the necessary resources to support the workload and meet project timelines and budgets. Leverage historical data and analyze trends over time.
- Provide recommendations to optimize capacity, such as creative ways to solve resource conflicts or where there are opportunities to perform work sooner.
- Aid data governance processes, relative to Resource Management.
- Assess the current workforce's skills, competencies, and capacity to meet projected demands.
Gap Analysis and Action Planning:
- Compare forecasted workforce needs with current workforce planning to analyze what the organization can realistically achieve and where there may be issues or risks.
- Monitor resource utilizations. Identify planned over- and under-allocations with risk management and action plans.
- Use data for scenario-based what-if analysis and problem solving. Enable informed decisions to rebalance, sequence differently, reassign, augment resources, or accept risks.
- Develop and maintain resource plans and capacity models.
- Monitor Planned vs Actual + Forecast (Estimates at Completion); drive continuous improvements.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Finance, and department leaders to implement action plans and monitor their effectiveness.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on workforce planning metrics, including capacity versus demand projections, skill gaps, and over/under allocation analysis
- Analyze workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on workforce optimization strategies.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry best practices in workforce planning and resource management.
- Identify opportunities to improve workforce planning processes and tools.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of workforce planning strategies that support the organization's overall goals.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three (3) years of professional experience in an analytical role, ideally involving data analysis, resource management, or project support.
- Ability to clear required background check
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES: NONE REQUIRED
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, potentially Power BI or similar).
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present findings clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Familiarity with project management concepts and the project lifecycle.
- Experience with master and transactional data management, data transformation, data analysis, and visualization in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, charts) or other data analytical tools.
- Understanding of the importance of data governance.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience with project portfolio management (PPM) tools.
- Exposure to resource planning methodologies.
- Basic understanding of financial planning and budgeting processes.

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
- We anticipate this position will pay $40.00 - 45.00 per hour. This is a temporary/contractor role, and you will be an employee of Randstad. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
