The TRIO Upward Bound Alamogordo Program is hiring an Academic Success Support Center Coordinator. This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising academic success programs for college and community college students, including advising, testing, admissions, financial aid, and retention efforts. The coordinator will also lead recruiting and onboarding and provide educational services to at-risk high school students to support their completion of secondary and post-secondary education.

Highlights
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise academic success programs including advising, testing, admissions, and retention.
  • Recruit, onboard, and deliver TRIO Upward Bound services for first-generation, economically disadvantaged, and academically high-risk high school students.
  • Manage after school meetings, Saturday academic sessions, workshops, orientations, cultural events, college trips, and summer programming.
  • Supervise assigned staff and special tutors for students with language barriers or remedial education needs.
  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Knowledge of university policies, organizational administration, supervision, and performance evaluation required.
  • Strong skills in planning, problem-solving, report preparation, and communication necessary.
  • Ability to develop student success strategies, identify at-risk students, and deliver training workshops.
  • Position is exempt, full-time (1.0 FTE), with salary commensurate with qualifications and contingent on external funding.
  • Work environment is primarily office-based with limited physical effort and minimal risk exposure.
