Job Description 
Germanna Community College is a public, open access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. The College is a dynamic learning organization that serves as a Germanna regional leader and preferred partner where quality learning experiences enable students to participate effectively in the social, economic, political, intellectual, and cultural life of their communities. Germanna Community College is centrally located in Fredericksburg, VA between Washington D.C. and Richmond and between the Blue Ridge mountains and the Chesapeake Bay. Germanna Community College is seeking a full time Workforce Enrollment Advisor who serves as the primary point of contact for prospective students interested in Workforce (non-credit) programs. This position is responsible for recruiting and ensuring students are seamlessly guided through the onboarding process and will serve as a liaison for Career & Technical Education programs This position will develop and plan outreach efforts, including information sessions, recruitment activities, pathway programming, and services for students interested in non-credit programs, short term credentials, and apprenticeship opportunities. The Advisor will manage a communication and outreach plan. The Advisor will serve as the liaison between students and all other functional enrollment areas to ensure students are appropriately advised and onboarded, to include advisement on financial assistance and funding opportunities. The Advisor will provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries from the public regarding services and programs offered by the college with a focus on Workforce Development and provide advisement on pathways to stackable credentials. This position assists new and current students with accessing Workforce and academic support services, as well as student information tools and platforms. This position is also responsible for tracking, analyzing and reporting data to committees and leadership, to include Workforce Leadership.

Special Assignments  | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications  | Experience in higher education setting Extensive computer experience in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software tools The ability to work independently and effectively under pressure Extensive customer service experience with an ability to handle stressful situations Excellent organization and prioritization skills Excellent public speaking, written communication, and interpersonal skills
