Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance
The Manager, Academic Success reports to a Director or Executive Director and works closely with the academic and administrative staffs in the relevant Centers, Schools or College, to address a variety of academic, faculty, and student issues.

Responsibilities

  • Review, develop, and administer procedures, policies, requirements, and infrastructure support utilized in relevant units for supporting academic issues, faculty, and students.
  • Collaborate with associate directors (ADs) assigned to other colleges to formulate consistent university-wide approaches to various academic issues.
  • Monitor college-level adherence to university policies pertaining to specified issues.
  • Gather and analyze data on student and faculty academic activities in assigned college and collaborate with fellow ADs to prepare annual report on university academic performance.
  • Report to the relevant Director on assigned operations within the unit in which he/she serves and ensure the use of the best practices and standardized procedures within that unit.
  • Travel to relevant university meetings. Service on university and school committees and committees for other initiatives as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree Required
  • PhD Earned doctorate in the relevant discipline and area, preferred.
  • 5 years experience in higher education 
  • 3 years project management experience 
  • 3 years experience in distant learning Preferred
  • Commitment to advocating for the learning and development needs of students earning their degrees in a distance learning environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, team participation, team building, and human relation skills.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds in a collaborative manner.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems.
  • Ability to write effectively in both business and academic styles.
Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $100,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
