Shift  | 40 hours per week; 8:00 am-5:00 pm; Monday-Friday; additional hours may be needed occasionally to complete job duties. This position is eligible for a remote/hybrid work schedule.
Job Summary  | Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, the Business Operations Manager plays a critical role in overseeing financial and business functions for the UK Libraries centralized business office. This position is responsible for comprehensive account oversight and reconciliation, procurement management, financial reporting, oversight of cash handling and compliance with University policies and procedures. The Business Operations Manager will supervise two financial positions, provide guidance and support to library faculty, staff, and students and serve as a liaison with key University departments such as Treasury Services, Accounts Payable, Accounting & Financial Services, Purchasing, Travel Services, and Risk Management. The position involves serving as the primary backup to the director, participating in strategic planning, and implementing goals and policies. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, critical thinker, with strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Advanced data analysis skills and the ability to develop and implement process improvements are also preferred.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities  | Advanced Excel skills are required. Experience with SAP Finance and Tableau. The ideal candidate must be progressive and have knowledge or be interested in learning new methods.

Preferred Education/Experience  | Prefer bachelor’s degree and 4 years related experience in higher education. Experience with SAP Finance is strongly preferred.
