The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing the daily invoice and disbursement transactions, and the timely payment of vendors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
- Processes supporting data for cash disbursements, checks mailed, ACH transactions, and wire transfers
- Maintains compliance with company policies and procedures as well as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations
- Adheres to and helps ensure the Company’s disbursement and payment goals and policies are met
- Assists in ensuring the department is striving for enhancing operational efficiencies
- Reviews account coding for accuracy and other dimensional coding
- Partners with Vendor Maintenance Specialist for new vendor setup, entity provisioning, remittance address updates, and the collection of W9’s
- Supports AP exception queues, troubleshoots issues, ensures invoices are connected to correct approval workflows
- Invoice Batching from AP Portal to ERP Platform
- Supports the collection of documentation for internal and external audit requests
- Audits receipts on employee expense reports
- Supports AP Project Initiative with converting to ACH Payments
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- High School diploma or GED and at least 2 years of related experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with NetSuite and Avid payment portal

- This is hybrid role with one day required onsite weekly at our Reston office. The noise level in the office is usually moderate (computers, printers, light foot traffic).
Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate the hourly range to be $24.55 – $26.56. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
