About the Position
The Accounts Payable Specialist is integral to the accuracy and timing of financial reporting. The position is responsible for processing and managing payable invoices, expense reports and credit card transactions. The position will directly report to the Accounting Supervisor but will also utilize the Senior Staff Accountant as their lead. 

This position is a term-limited opportunity for 18 months, with the potential for conversion to a full-time employee or contract employee role upon successful completion of the term.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices. 
  • Maintain vendor records
  • Reconcile payable statements
  • Collaborate with program and development staff to track timely processing and fund usage
  • Respond to vendor inquiries
  • Maintain applicable processes, policies and procedure documentation
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, policies and procedures
  • Assist in month end and year end close processes
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests 
  • Support finance and program team with filings, reports and special projects as needed

Qualifications
  • Min requirement: Associates degree in accounting or finance related field.
  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience preferred
  • In depth knowledge of accrual based accounting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with Concur, Bill.com and Sage Intacct is strongly preferred
  • Experience with grant funded programs is strongly preferred
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Committed to improving efficiency across job duties and functions.
  • Proficiency in Excel

Working Conditions

Digital Promise Global is a hybrid organization. The position is primarily working in a remote environment. Employees are expected to travel at least 4 times a year for in-person meetings and the annual staff retreat. Additional travel may be required based on role and responsibilities.

Physical/Sensory Demands: Fast-paced working environment. Extensive computer usage and online engagement & communication. Must be willing to build inclusive relationships and collaborate with employees at all levels within the organization and external partners.

Special Provisions: Occasional work outside normal business hours, such as weekends and evenings required. 

Compensation
We consider candidate experience and location when determining where a candidate may fall within that range. Digital Promise Global offers a competitive total rewards package including coverage of 85% of health insurance premiums for employee coverage and 75% of health insurance premiums for dependent and family coverage, 15 vacation days, 12 sick days, 3% 401k employer contribution, 3% employer 401k match, and a flexible work environment.

This position is a term-limited opportunity for 18 months, with the potential for conversion to a full-time employee or contract employee role upon successful completion of the term.

The full-time salary range for the position is based on geographical regions, with exact salary depending on relevant experience.

California: $71,420-$77,722

DC Metro Area & NYC: $64,927-$70,656

National: $58,434-$63,590
