Administrative Assistant, Senior Full Description

Join Purdue University Fort Wayne:
We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site, Administrative Assistant, Senior in the College of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science (ETCS). This position serves as the key operational leader of the Dean’s Office. The pay for this position is $17.36/hr.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as assistant to the Dean of ETCS and backup for administrative functions for the office of the College Dean.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings for the Dean, and provide in-person meeting hospitality assistance for visitors to the Dean’s office.
  • Oversee the day-to-day administrative support operations of the ETCS Dean’s office.
  • Serve as the college liaison to campus marketing and graphic design to help ensure a streamlined, timely, and consistent marketing message coming from ETCS.
  • Responsible for leading the College’s efforts in providing appropriate, informative, and intriguing messaging on social media and creating other digital media content for other marketing outlets.
  • Serve as the liaison to the ETCS Academic Advising and Student Success Center in communicating all academic polices, programming, and procedures.
  • Coordinate retention activities with the ETCS Office of Student Engagement and the Student Success Center
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree.
  • 3 years of experience in an office support position.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • General computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to learn new software systems.
