Department Summary
TCOM is driven to change the way health care is delivered. TCOM excels through its innovative curriculum, cutting-edge research, quality patient care, and outstanding student performance in both the classroom and the clinics. The Office of Academic Affairs, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, at the UNT Health is seeking an Administrative Business Coordinator to join the team. Serves as a key strategic and administrative support and partner for the senior associate dean.

Position Overview
Operates as both an internal and external liaison for the department and is responsible for ensuring seamless, transparent, effective operations, clarity of information, and facilitates and monitors the administration of the department. Manages operating unit, including financial reconciliation, tracking, and reporting, and assists with the preparation and management of department budget. Faculty workload database maintenance, data tracking, and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced MS Office skills.Proven organizational skills and detail orientation. Job Duties
Executive support for the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, including travel planning, travel expense submissions, and other travel support needs; purchasing, correspondence, and other executive needs.Administrative Support for Committees: TCOM Student Performance Committee (SPC) administrative coordination and support as well as administrative support for Academic Affairs staff meetings.Operational administration for the Department of Academic Affairs. Contract liaison; purchasing and purchasing reconciliations; hiring manager for Teaching Assistants for courses; official department time-keeper; department inventory transactions, technology needs, compliance needs, and any other related duties for the office.Responsible for or assists with financial and operational functions including, but not limited to, purchasing, budget, travel, safety, information technology, and compliance. Monthly reconciliation of all accounts in Axiom as well as checkbook(s). Tracks/monitors CME, travel spending, and reviewing of unit financials, including checkbook, tracking of state funds, and financial reports through Axiom while monitoring available funds with transparency to the College Business Office. Works in partnership with administrative team to ensure all procurement, purchasing, and travel guidelines and processes are implemented and followed within the unit.Assist in administrative and financial activities for operating unit, including budget preparation, management of all accounts, administration operations, and contract management.Oversees administration operations by identifying needed resources and setting priorities; manages flow to ensure prudent management of resources.Other duties as assigned, including backing up other executive assistants as needed to ensure Business Continuity Plans and expectations are met.
