Pay Range Information  | Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.
 Position Summary Information 
Job Description Summary  | Reporting to the Director of Admissions, supports the Doctor of Physical Therapy graduate program’s recruitment, admission and registration for new student processes. Interfaces and promotes the DPT program to prospective students. Reviews and processes DPT program applicants. Coordinates Physical Therapy Alumni Engagement, coordinates special events, meetings and program activities. Supports, coordinates, and archives current student, faculty, and course data required for the annual accreditation reports to CAPTE and the annual assessment processes. Updates department staff on admission procedures, alumni activities, and supervises student workers. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities  | Coordinates the Doctor of Physical Therapy graduate program recruitment, admission and registration for new student processes. Works with the Director of Admissions, Admissions Committee and DPT Chair in developing recruitment plans and strategies that align with the University, central Graduate Admissions, Crean College and Physical Therapy’s goals, missions and values. Researches the demographic and academic characteristics of prospective students and applicants as well as other institutions to inform recruitment, admission and program goals, directions and decisions. Collaborates with the Director of Admissions and Chair for Program Assessment and Accreditation on issues related to Admissions, Alumni Engagement, and Graduate Outcomes. Develops and maintains policies and procedures for the admissions process Manages the admissions budget for purchase of marketing materials and event costs. Manages process of offering fellowships to admitted students Oversees DPT admissions webpages Conducts all communication with prospective and admitted students prior to matriculation Manages applicant interview processes and scheduling Identifies and enriches marketing messages that best attract quality prospective doctoral students. Plans and provides tours, webinars, presentations and other communications, training, materials, scheduling and other logistical support to enhance recruitment and conversion efforts. Advise applicants on admission policies and procedures. Evaluates and offers individualized plan of study for optimal admission standards when possible. Applies transfer credit guidelines in review and assessment of applications as appropriate. Serves as the lead in evaluating approximately 600 application portfolios per year, handling appeals and exceptions and making admission recommendations with minimal supervision or guidelines. Supervises graduate student workers in providing tours/webinars, responding to email and voicemail inquiries, creating and posting social media content. Serves as the main liaison to the DPT central application site. Coordinates the transition from admissions to registration for new students. Organizes newly admitted student events including New Student Orientation and Faculty Meet and Greet. Works with Students’ Success Committee and Department Chair by providing input on the admissions process that will impact students’ success and retention in the graduate programs. Keeps abreast of critical developments at the state, national, and professional organization levels pertaining to information relevant to the DPT degree. 
Coordinates the engagement of Alumni of the Physical Therapy Program, and engage the alumni for networking, clinical education opportunities, giving back, special events, etc.Supports Alumni engagement – for department of PT program at Rinker Health Science Campus in collaboration with the Program Chair. Collaborates with the Clinical Education team on specific alumni to be actively engaged for potential clinical education placement opportunities. Supports strategic partnerships with cross section- Student Association, Alumni Association, Career & Professional Development. Creates communications for alumni outreach. Manages the DPT alumni network database. Coordinates special events for networking and building relationships between students and alumni.
Accreditation and Assessment SupportCollaboratively supports regional and program accreditation efforts through report development and archiving of department data. Provides requested data to the Director of Admissions, Department Chair and the Assessment Committee required for the annual accreditation (AAR) report to CAPTE and the annual assessment processes. Provides support for the CAPTE accreditation process. This includes technology set up for meetings, making edits to accreditation documents, and ensuring the program’s success in maintaining ongoing accreditation.
General DPT Program SupportSets-up and maintains electronic databases and records, including student databases. Gathers, compiles, and reports data as requested. Serves as a lead of contact for new staff, assisting with on-boarding and orienting to the Department, College, and University. Additionally, serves as a resource to staff daily for questions, training, and document proofing. Assists with other department events such as White Coat and Commencement ceremonies.

Required Qualifications  | Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience A minimum of two to three years related experience in student recruitment, admissions or registration, preferably at a higher education institution. Prior related experience in a physical therapy program is desirable. Proven ability to work independently and make effective decisions appropriate for an exempt employee and for the position level Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, anticipate and resolve problems, suggest alternatives and make decisions and/or recommendations as needed Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all organizational levels including administration, faculty, staff, students and outside community Excellent oral and written communication skills including good use of grammar Proven ability to comprehend a process and/or procedure and take a given task from the beginning to completion Ability to compose letters, memos, program plans and goals as well as the skills to edit and proofread documents for clarity, accuracy and completeness Strong computer skills to use Microsoft Office Suite applications Ability to plan, coordinate and execute logistics for events Skills to perform mathematical calculations and evaluate previous coursework/testing Ability to supervise, train and evaluate student workers Ability to prioritize information and events while completing tasks in a timely manner Analytical skills to evaluate effectiveness of student affairs procedures and recommend changes Sensitivity and understanding of individual student and family needs and cultural diversity Ability to harvest, collate, analyze and interpret admissions and related data Ability to understand and apply policies, procedures and admissions criteria, including but not limited to FERPAStrong commitment to customer service, able to maintain confidentiality and adept at teamwork Technical skills to learn and use enterprise, college level and departmental tools and systems, such as PTCAS, WebAdmit, CPI, Campus Solutions, PeopleSoft, CRM on Demand, Hobsons, ImageNow, Blackboard, Taskstream and 25Live Demonstrated knowledge of student recruitment, admission, registration or related activities, with the ability to become skilled in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program requirements Ability to represent Chapman University, Crean College and the Physical Therapy’s Department’s goals, missions and values in a positive and persuasive manner
