Thunderbird School of Global Management Recruitment and Admissions team, a department within the Thunderbird Student Success team, is seeking a focused and detail-oriented individual who can work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The Admissions Coordinator at Thunderbird will be responsible for ensuring that Undergraduate and Online program applications and materials are appropriately processed. The coordinator role will also assist as additional support, as needed to the Admissions & Operations team with materials for all Thunderbird degrees. This position will work in collaboration with ASU Enrollment Services and teams to ensure that all admission documents are processed timely and accurately.

Position Salary Range:
$42,000 - $55,000 USD Annual

Essential Duties:
  • Responds to inquiries from students, departments or the general public by telephone or in person regarding application status or related department procedures, outreach to students for missing documents in application processing.
  • Maintains digital student files via Monday.com by entering updates and/or deleting records as required; enters information in student files to support the Recruitment team.
  • Performs various clerical functions in order to maintain files, process paperwork, prepare reports, and fulfill information requests. 
  • Utilizes PeopleSoft and ASU Online information systems to monitor and accurately inform prospective students. 
  • Utilizes Salesforce to record phone interactions, correspondence, visits, monitoring and follow-up of prospective student information in a timely manner
  • Reports to Thunderbird Recruitment and Admissions Associate Director, Admissions and Operations, and supports Recruitment and Admissions on key initiatives throughout an applicant's journey.
  • Assists the Coordinator, Sr with packaging applications for weekly committee review.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of admissions and/or graduation procedures.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Evidence of effective communication skills.
  • Experience in work requires attention to detail.
  • Experience in time management and strategic planning abilities to effectively execute job duties.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office software like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Working Environment:
  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
  • Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
  • Bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
  • Clearly communicate to perform essential functions of the job.
  • Regular use of standard office equipment including but not limited to computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone, and associated computer/technology peripherals. This position receives an annual managerial review of objectives.
