Job Summary/Basic Functions
The University of Mary Washington has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Admissions Counselor. The admissions counselor will successfully manage a regional territory to support new student enrollment goals. They will establish a multi-faceted territory recruitment plan which will include significant travel to high schools and college fairs, planning and execution of regional events, application review, decision recommendations, and personal follow up and relationship-building with constituents within the territory. As an admissions team member, the admissions counselor will assist in the execution of on and off campus events, in addition to the performance of daily operational tasks including but not limited to group information sessions, individual admission counseling appointments, interviews, and special projects as requested.

Required KSAs/Competencies/Qualifications
Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills with proven ability to present detailed information in a clear and concise manner. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, pay attention to detail, exercise initiative, independent judgment and follow-through. Strong commitment to customer service. Ability to travel overnight for extended periods of time (8 to 10 weeks). Must be competent with technology and its application with strong administrative and operational skills.
 
Required Experience:
Prior experience in a liberal arts and sciences environment. Experience using MS Office products. Required Licensure:Must possess a valid Driver’s License to operate a University/state owned or leased vehicle.
