Admissions Counselor I Full Description

ECTC is seeking a highly motivated Admissions Counselor I to recruit students in the college’s service area through various platforms to expand the student population at ECTC.

Job Duties:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive outreach and recruitment program, targeting prospective students.
  • Ascertain the needs of adult and high school learners with appropriate resources available at ECTC and within the College's Service Region.
  • Provide information about the college and the college programs to prospective students on campus and at various events in the community, including open houses, information sessions, and campus visits.
  • Create a calendar of outreach and recruitment events both on and off campus.
  • Work with Marketing and Public Relations to develop relevant promotional brochures and materials.
  • Assist with all recruiting activities off-site and on campus, including tours.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with secondary education partners, business organizations, community agencies, and the community to foster relationships with ECTC.
  • Collaborate with Workforce Solutions to transition students into credential-seeking, apprenticeships, and credit-for-prior-learning programs.
  • Create and initiate new ideas to increase potential new students' engagement and increase applications.
  • Provide first contact, application to enrollment, and possible case management for potential new students.
  • Other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Associate’s degree and two years of related work experience. Valid driver’s license and travel required.
