Are you an Agile SME looking for a role whereby by you will remove impediments and create an environment for teams to perform at their best.

About the role, As a supportive leader and coach for an Agile Team. You will help educate the team in Shadow Health’s adopted Agile concepts and supporting practices, such as Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). SMs facilitate and ensure that the agreed-upon Agile processes are followed.

About the team, this team supports multiple products with our core business vertical Nursing Health Education. These products are designed to support both educators and students throughout the nursing education journey. These resources aim to enhance learning, clinical judgment, and exam preparedness.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as the lead facilitator of daily stand-ups for assigned teams, utilizing team boards and key metrics to accurately assess team progress on objectives 
  • Remove or facilitate removal of impediments to team progress by asking powerful questions, engaging key stakeholders, and collaborating with Agile leadership 
  • Facilitating iteration planning alongside Product Managers, using past progress metrics such as velocity or burndown charts to promote consistent team delivery 
  • Coaching teams through conflict and uncertainty by asking questions and making viable options visible to all team members 
  • Serving as the lead facilitator of iteration retrospectives, guiding teams to identify problem areas and actionable improvement items; holding teams accountable for completing past action items 
  • Performing light Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on stories that slip the iteration to identify areas for process improvement 
  • Assisting the Program Delivery Manager in driving team alignment toward program quarterly objectives 
  • Reporting team progress and impediments to leadership and stakeholders, using key metrics and summaries 
  • Collaborating with Quality Engineers and other governance stakeholders to ensure quality and compliance requirements are met 
  • Coordinate communication regarding incoming defects (bugs) assigned to team members 
  • Assist Program Delivery Manager in preparations for quarterly planning events 
  • Effectively utilize Atlassian Jira to drive reporting and progress tracking, ensuring transparency for all stakeholders 

Requirements
  • Current experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or in a similar leadership role, preferably in scaled Agile environments. 
  • Possess leadership and people management skills, including motivating teams, coaching talent, and fostering a collaborative environment 
  • Have exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Demonstrate expertise in change management, conflict resolution, and decision-making in dynamic environments 
  • Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources. 
  • Proficiency in Atlassian suite products (Jira, Confluence) and enterprise Agile tools (e.g., Jira Align) is a plus 
  • Possess SAFe SM certification or equivalent SM certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence organizational change and foster Agile maturity
