Job description

Who We Are
Great Minds is a high-growth, mission-driven organization founded by educators in 2007. As a for-profit, Public Benefit Corporation, we believe all students deserve access to meaningful, challenging content—and all teachers deserve tools that are intuitive, effective, and built for the realities of today’s classrooms.

We develop high-quality, knowledge-rich math, science and ELA curricula grounded in research and designed in collaboration with educators. Our materials reflect real classroom needs and are built to drive lasting student outcomes.

We are committed to usability, coherence, and practical implementation—supporting teachers not just through curriculum, but with professional learning, purposeful technology, and responsive service that enable strong adoption and impact.

What We Build
Our products—Eureka Math and Eureka Math², Wit & Wisdom, PhD Science, Geodes, and the newly launched Arts & Letters ELA—are trusted by thousands of schools and districts nationwide.
  • Eureka Math is the most widely used math curriculum in the U.S., and is focused on balancing conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and application.
  • Wit & Wisdom® and Arts & Letters ELA™ anchor our reading strategy with content-rich, grade-level instruction that integrates literature, history, and the arts, grounded in the science of reading. Geodes® complements our reading suite with decodable texts that pair phonics with meaningful content to support early literacy.
  • PhD Science is a hands-on K-5 Science program that sparks curiosity as students build enduring knowledge of how the scientific world works.

These programs reflect a shared belief in high expectations, joyful rigor, and deep respect for educators and students.

Where We’re Headed
Great Minds is entering a new stage of growth and product maturity. We are focused on building more connected, customer-informed experiences across the full educator journey—from curriculum to professional learning to platform and support.

Our long-term vision is to become a true partner in impact—not just delivering curriculum, but supporting educators in achieving outcomes at scale.

Job Purpose
Reporting to the Director, Digital Media, the AI Solutions Lead will act as a multi-disciplined problem-solver and thought partner across departments at Great Minds, helping drive innovation through the application of artificial intelligence and automation in content development and production services. This individual will manage a steady stream of high-priority initiatives in serving in a shared services capacity. The role focuses on delivering practical, scalable tools that directly enhance the operations of Content and Production Services teams. It will not drive cross-functional strategic initiatives, but support and inform them. Key focus areas will include accelerating and automating content review and analysis (e.g., alignment to state standards, DEI audits), enhancing production workflows (e.g., copyediting, QA, art generation), and contributing to the future-state vision for AI deployment in curriculum development. The role also will support rapid-response “now” projects, requiring technical execution and judgment.

Responsibilities

  • AI Application and Strategy:
    • Lead and execute rapid-response projects using AI tools for content compression, summarization, tagging, and generation (e.g., modifying books to meet pacing requirements, converting content to meet accessibility standards).
    • Provide thought leadership on the future state of AI strategy at Great Minds, including contribution to Value Stream Mapping workflows.
    • Drive internal AI adoption by evaluating tools, prototyping solutions, and translating complex needs into automated workflows.
  • Content Analysis and Generation:
    • Conduct content audits for DEI compliance, standards alignment, and overall state-by-state standards coverage.
    • Generate and evaluate Student Edition and Teacher Edition components such as student assessments, vocabulary lists, and module summaries.
    • Implement workflows to map new or legacy content to state standards using AI-assisted tools.
  • Production Services Support:
    • Collaborate with Production Services and Content teams to improve efficiency in areas like copyediting, QA, art generation, and leveling up or down content.
    • Support visual content transformation (e.g., skin tone modifications for art assets, rough draft image creation through generative AI).
    • Provide support for vendor avoidance initiatives, such as in-house DEI auditing, content accessibility and assessments, to help reduce external spend.
  • Project Management and Prioritization:
    • Act as a triage point for inbound AI-related requests from across the organization.
    • Prioritize and scope requests based on urgency, impact, and feasibility.
    • Track deliverables and communicate progress with stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Capacity Building:
    • Partner with internal SMEs, engineers, and designers to scale successful AI solutions across teams.
    • Help create reusable assets, templates, or scripts to improve the scalability of AI interventions.
    • Contribute to internal documentation and process guides.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Job requirements

  • Working knowledge of K12 ecosystem including content standards (e.g., Common Core, TEKS) and curriculum publishing
  • Proficiency in prompt engineering, data parsing, and content transformation
  • Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and moving fast to deliver early wins while building toward a longer-term roadmap
