The Application Architect is responsible for the creation, maintenance and management of technology solutions that are aligned with business needs, reflects best practices and increase option value for the organization. Makes high-level design choices focused on manageability, scalability, usability, resiliency, availability, security, and/or safety for the software structure, protocols, and algorithms. Determines coding, development tools, validation, and standards compliance requirements. Collaborates with management, product owners, and project managers to evaluate the feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development. Performs pathfinding, surveys technologies, participates in standards committees and presents at external and internal events. Interacts with multiple technologists in the company to influence architectures and optimize/customize software offerings. Supports implementation of GA/GTM solutions that helps business and marketing teams to gather insights about product/marketing performance.

This is a Remote position available in the United States.

What you will be doing:
  • Provide technical leadership on design, development, and execution of software solutions.
  • Design and implement easy-to-use and intuitive User Interfaces.
  • Develop and use relevant industry standards and domain information models to satisfy functional and non-functional requirements and achieve compliance with mandated standards/guidelines.
  • Participate in proposing new technical architectures and solutions to improve and enhance existing architectures.
  • Determine scope and provide level of effort estimates for project tasks and related activities, and match required skill sets to task requirements and allocate team resources appropriately.
  • Provide technical architecture subject matter expertise and services for new and existing projects.
  • Evaluate and test emerging technologies/tools.
  • Conduct or facilitate collaborative data modeling activities among multiple stakeholders.
  • Support the business development efforts where data architecture and analysis requirements are defined.
  • Support implementation of tracking technologies in compliance with BH privacy policies

  • Communication
    • Facilitate team and client meetings effectively.
    • Hold regular status meetings with project team.
    • Keep project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 6+ years of experience
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager architecture and ability to evaluate and recommend and implement best practices
  • Experience with Marketing Tech Stack including Google Technologies like Google Ads, SEO and their interaction within the GA architecture

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
  • Ability to stay up to date with GA/GTM technology roadmap and provide recommendations on adoption of new features that would benefit BH
  • Thorough understanding of the complete software development lifecycle with ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
  • Experience in building a system with high-security standards and has a very good understanding of common vulnerabilities and attack vectors and how to prevent them.
  • Experience with data modeling and schema design, data harmonization and normalization, and data integration approaches and technologies such as those used in multi-source enterprise application integration, data security and access control and service-oriented architecture solutions.
  • Architect experience with practical background in systems, application development, and languages
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server and other database systems.
  • Familiarity with information integration activities such as mapping and transformation, data validation, and data analysis including data mining and business intelligence
  • Experience building and supporting mission critical applications, running in a highly distributed manner
  • Familiarity with configuration management concepts and tools, source code control, and development standards
  • Familiarity with software usability concepts
  • Experience working with multiple customers and technical staff, including building consensus and mediating compromises when necessary
  • Strong logical and technical problem-solving skills
  • Strong judgment and decision-making ability
  • Passion and ability in providing excellent customer service
  • Experience overseeing (from a technical perspective) multiple projects

The annual salary for this position is between $140,000 - 160,000 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

Also, depending on hire date and subject to applicable eligibility requirements and accrual schedules, new employees in this role receive up to: 9 paid holidays annually; 40 hours of sick time per year based on full-time schedule, and 120 hours of vacation time per year based on full-time schedule (vacation time may be used for sick leave purposes under any applicable state or local sick or safe time law).
