Position Summary:
The Managed Resources Application & Network Administrator will have the proven ability to work both independently and within a team to achieve results. Should have the ability to quickly analyze problems and to work cooperatively with the assigned client and other Jenzabar associates to determine the problem, verify potential solutions, and to solve the problem in a professional, courteous, and accurate manner with an enough level of ongoing communication and follow-up. 

The Application & Network Administrator will be dedicated to a client site located in Manhattan, New York. The position is mostly remote but will require one to two days a week on campus.

Expectations:
  • Oversight of application and network ecosystem
  • Support enterprise systems (Jenzabar, EMS, Blackbaud, RaiserEdge, FinancialEdge, Docuware, Handshake, Interfolio, Panopto, O365 etc.)
  • Manage existing integrations for all administrative applications
  • Manage scripts and stored procedures
  • Maintain existing databases
  • Oversee network equipment and firewalls (configuration, patches, updates, and troubleshooting)
  • Manage external backups and restore data and SQL database
  • Install, configure, update certificates for all equipment
  • Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, VLAN
  • Assist with implementing security measures
  • Create and maintain reports on the Report server
  • Collaborate and communicate with administration, faculty, and staff
  • Maintain relationships with software and hardware vendors
  • Act as liaison between client and Jenzabar for support ticket escalation and resolution
  • Assist client with their business continuity plan efforts
  • Collaborate with the client on establishing an institution wide technology governance process
  • Assist with a strategic technology plan that supports the client’s strategic objectives
  • Establish and maintain a mutually agreed-upon Annual Tactical Plan for administrative and network systems, that supports the client’s Strategic Technology Plan
  • Best effort support and management of existing administrative applications that support business operations
  • Collaborate with client’s senior-most IT person or their designee to propose technology policies and procedures
  • Oversee the collaborative development, and maintenance, of written standard operating procedures (SOP) for key business operations
  • Assist the client with planning and implementation of Administrative System and Network technology projects

Responsibilities:
  • Modify student, faculty and staff scripts to accept incoming and outgoing users on semester basis, request by OAA, system or policy changes
  • Configure and maintain firewalls
  • Oversee security and apply fixes, patches, updates to network equipment and firewalls
  • Manage external backups and restore data and SQL database
  • Assist client with their business continuity plan efforts
  • Manage existing integrations for all administrative applications
  • Support enterprise systems (Jenzabar, EMS, Blackbaud, RaiserEdge, FinancialEdge, Docuware, Handshake, Interfolio, Panopto, O365 etc.)
  • Maintain existing databases
  • Install, configure, update certificates for all equipment
  • Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, VLAN
  • Manage scripts and stored procedures
  • Create and maintain reports on the Report server

Qualifications:
  • 4-6 years in an application and network systems role
  • Experience with Web Servers, application servers and mission critical applications
  • Windows or Linux experience
  • Experience working in a virtualized environment
  • Problem Solving and troubleshooting skills, including ability to perform root cause analysis design preventative activities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to quickly learn new software setup requirements, configuration rules, update procedures, etc. (and to then train other users, whether the customer or internal Jenzabar associates)
  • Take responsibility for and show initiative in learning how to use/manage systems more effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The pay range for this position is $70,000-82,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.
