As an Assessment Implementation Analyst, team members use analytical, technical, and organizational skills to create reports that help district and school leaders gain insight into the performance and growth of their students.   With guidance from senior implementation leaders, the Assessment Implementation Analyst extracts data from various sources and uses advanced Excel skills to create reports and visualizations in support of educators’ informed decision making.

The impact you'll have:
  • Support Curriculum Associates’ programs focused on building the capacity of district and school leaders to use data to drive decisions that improve and sustain student achievement.
  • Use advanced Excel skills to develop reports that efficiently combine, aggregate and summarize student data metrics to derive insights.
  • Design and create clear and compelling tables and visualizations in Excel to illustrate data trends.
  • Develop SQL queries to efficiently extract and aggregate data from large relational databases.
  • Write clear, user-friendly documentation and instructions for end users. 
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for analytic procedures in tools like Confluence and GitHub.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of Curriculum Associates’ product offerings.
  • Manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Who we're looking for: 
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical capability.
  • Exceptional Excel skills, with the ability to demonstrate mastery of advanced lookups, functions and formulas, macros, complex data analysis tools, PivotTables, Power Pivot etc.
  • Applied experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is a plus.   
  • Experience with SQL coding skills and querying from large relational databases is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ideally with experience communicating complex technical topics to lay audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities as needs shift or customer issues arise.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing timelines.
  • Commitment to improving the learning of all students through research-based practices.
     
Required Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of applied experience in generating complex reports in Excel using large datasets, or a combination of education and experience in a related field that proves competency in the requirements of the job.
  • Applied experience in the management and reporting of K-12 student data is a plus.
  • Especially well qualified candidates will also have experience in the field of education and knowledge of educational measurement principles, including familiarity with psychometric concepts such as measurement error, validity, and reliability estimation. 
  • Must be able to provide writing samples and be willing to complete an analytic performance task.

Travel: Approximately 10%, primarily to company offices and team meetings.  

Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay Range – This role’s range is $60,750-$99,750. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
