Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position. Bachelor’s degree and/or 3-5 years of general professional experience in an office or administrative setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret academic curriculum and technical documentation. Evidence of organizational skills and attention to detail Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams) and comfort working in complex systems. Experience working independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in any programming language present in the TIOBE Index.
Preferred Qualifications | Experience with Degree Works, especially in scribing or audit review Familiarity with academic advising or registrar operation Experience with Banner or similar student information system Knowledge of Texas State’s academic catalog and core curriculum Understanding of curriculum approval processes and degree program structures
Job Description | Responsible for facilitating the implementation and continuing operation and enhancement of the degree audit reporting system.
Job Duties | Collect and organize approved curriculum and catalog changes from academic departments and colleges. Translate academic program requirements into structured documentation for use in Degree Works. Perform basic scribing and updates to degree audit blocks in Degree Works. Assist in testing and troubleshooting degree audits to ensure accuracy and alignment with the academic catalog. Collaborate with the Systems Analyst to maintain timely and accurate audit updates. Maintain detailed change logs and documentation of audit modifications. Communicate with academic departments and advising teams to clarify program requirements and ensure consistency. Identify and flag potential issues or discrepancies in audit logic or catalog interpretation. Support the implementation of new programs or revisions by ensuring accurate audit representation. Participate in training or meetings related to curriculum updates, audit processes, or system enhancements.
