Job Summary
The Assistant Director, Athletics and Transfer Credit Evaluations provides leadership and coordinates strategies to ensure operational effectiveness, accuracy, and equitable resource allocation to meet production goals. Under the direction of the University Registrar, this position reviews institutional philosophy and policy to develop procedures enhancing student service delivery in Enrollment Services while supporting compliance with applicable federal, state, and system-wide regulations. The incumbent uses a student-centered and equity-minded approach in all communication and service efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Policy: Provide day-to-day, hands-on leadership implementing policies and directing operational functions for Athletics and Transfer Credit Evaluations; develop and coordinate workload priorities and statistical reports
- Data Analysis & Systems/Process Recommendation: Collaborate with the University Registrar on ES priorities; create, prepare, and analyze reports, monitor workload, and compile data to evaluate ES activities
- Communication: Develop and maintain messaging and a communication plan for Student Records communications affecting internal and external stakeholders
- Personnel Management: Manage the Athletics and Transfer Credit Evaluations units including personnel matters; provide second-level management for Student Records where necessary; establish production goals and deadlines

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by education, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources. Hiring range: $6,250-$7,083 per month, commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of student records operations, policies, and procedures, with demonstrated experience in automated student information systems and managing complex projects from planning through implementation. Ability to analyze and interpret academic policies, exercise sound judgment, and make informed recommendations on policy exceptions. Skilled in supervising and developing staff through training, coaching, and performance management. Strong analytical, research, and reporting skills; ability to leverage technology to achieve project goals; strong commitment to customer service and collaboration across a diverse campus community.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience required
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience supervising and training processing staff in Student Records
- Experience coordinating an operational unit in a large, fast-paced environment with a diverse population of employees
