Pay Range Information | Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.
Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary | The Assistant Director, Master’s in Real Estate Program is responsible for the recruitment, matriculation, academic advising, program management, and professional development and career placement for students enrolled in the Master’s in Real Estate program. This position will provide support to the Executive Director of Real Estate. The Assistant Director will proactively seek out and recruit prospective MS in Real Estate candidates and represent the college at recruitment fairs and events. In addition, this role will develop relationships with real estate companies for career placement of students in the real estate program. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of specialized sales, preferably in the professional recruitment or higher education sectors. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, relationship driven, a strong communicator who works well independently and with a team.
Responsibilities | Student Recruitment Actively seek out potential students for the Master’s in Real Estate Program. Must meet and regularly exceed student recruitment goals and motivated to increase enrollment. Provides consultative services to prospective students regarding all details of the Master’s in Real Estate program including application, matriculation, course overviews, program requirements, academic policies, and procedures. Provides phone call, text and email outreach to prospective students and candidates. Schedules/hosts official application interviews individual candidates and makes recommendations as part of admissions selection committee. Supports the Executive Director of Real Estate. Works closely with the Director of Graduate Business Programs and colleagues to address recruitment issues and achieve annual target enrollment goals. Track and maintains admissions and enrollment data for Master’s in Real Estate students. Supports the development and utilization of recruiting management system. Builds a strong communication flow for prospective and matriculated students. Create, plan, execute and attend information sessions for prospects and yield events for admitted applicants. Deliver all student advising and other services to Master’s in Real Estate program students, including academic policies, course selection and scheduling. Implementation of Marketing Strategies & Tactics Work with Executive Director of Real Estate and Director of Graduate Business Programs to proactively develop ideas for new marketing tactics and initiatives to support and improve recruitment. Manage the coordination and development of print and digital marketing materials. Gather and stay informed of industry best marketing practices in relation to recruitment trends, timelines, market analyses and competitor intelligence. Develop and maintains cooperative relationships with alumni, industry partners, other business schools, corporations and other universities. Student Career Placement Develops comprehensive strategies to ensure annual target internship and career placement goals. Must meet and regularly exceed career placement goals. And motivated to increase career placement outcomes and salaries. Provide career coaching to Master’s in Real Estate program students, to include job/internship search and placement strategy, document review, networking techniques, interview preparation and salary negotiation techniques. Responsible for tracking and maintaining employment data for all students in the Master’s in Real Estate program., plan, Plan and attend industry-specific networking events, special projects, student activities, classes, and training sessions for the Real Estate program. Create, plan, execute and attend career-related student events with industry leaders, hiring managers, alumni and industry recruiters. Works closely with real estate companies and professional organizations for direct introductions to real estate students and candidates. Develop and maintains cooperative relationships with alumni and corporations. Other Duties as Assigned Work collaboratively with the Executive Director of Real Estate and Director of Graduate Business Programs on course scheduling. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications | Specialized and relationship-based sales and/or recruiting experience with a proven track record of achieving goals. Able to develop, plan and achieve short and long-range goals. Experience working with digital recruitment and marketing strategies. Experience developing, implementing, and using CRM systems. Able to quickly understand/interpret and apply guidelines and procedures consistently. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to evaluate data, assess alternatives and make appropriate decisions/recommendations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including oral, written; especially for presentations. Demonstrates tact and diplomacy, maintaining a high level of confidentiality. Strong organizational, time management, and project-management skills. Motivated to work independently but able to thrive and contribute in a team-oriented environment. Experienced working in a professional environment with strong Microsoft Office skills/comfort.
Desired Qualifications | Experience with higher education recruitment and admission, preferably for MS Real Estate programs.
