About the position: The Assistant Director of Admissions will focus on maintaining good relationships with high school counselors, community college advisors and prospective students in assigned geographical areas and/or with specific student types. Additionally, the Assistant Director of Admissions will assist with both traditional face to face domestic recruitment and online program recruitment.

Duties and Responsibilities | Review applications for admission for first-time, transfer, and online program students. Conduct in-state and out-of-state high school visits, college fairs, transfer fairs, and specific events related to student recruitment and enrollment. Assist with specific events related to student recruitment and enrollment, most notably, Open Houses and Admitted Student Day programming. Coordinate yield initiatives. Provide direct outreach to students through the application process by communicating via email, phone, text, video conference, and in person. Understand and provide financial information to prospective students for both online and face to face enrollment. Conduct information sessions virtually and/or to student groups visiting campus. Promote Millersville University in a professional and ethical manner. Participate in on-campus and off-campus events related to student recruitment.
All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree. One year completed professional position experience in Admissions. Experience with recruitment and admission technology (such as various CRM systems and Banner). Knowledge of trends and issues in admissions and recruitment. Evidence of excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practices and experience working with diverse student populations. Valid driver’s license. Successful interview. Successful completion of three background checks.
Preferred Qualifications | Experience with recruitment for online and hybrid programs. Experience with Slate CRM. Experience with Banner.

Must be able to travel seasonally. Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 10 to 25 pounds. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
