Associate Director of Enrollment Full Description

As an associate director of enrollment, you will develop relationships with applicants through correspondence with students and their parents as they navigate the admission and enrollment process. You will manage a high volume of daily incoming calls and emails from applicants, parents or guardians, and school counselors, answering questions about university policies, admission requirements, scholarships, financial aid, and enrollment. Based on the student type, you will discuss admission requirements and enrollment timelines to complete application reviews and personally congratulate accepted students. Responsibilities include the operation of management systems to record and track applicant documents and information, the maintenance of appointment schedules via Calendly, and the prioritization of outreach using various methods. You will also complete other data-driven outreach projects as assigned.

In this role, you will serve as the main point of contact for financial aid questions from parents and students. You will review portfolio and résumé submission guidelines along with other SCAD scholarship options, advocate for students seeking extra financial aid, and offer guidance on outside scholarship resources or steps for scholarship appeals. Likewise, you will stay informed about all university policies and procedures to ensure the provision of accurate information. You will participate in webinars and conduct two LiveAgent chat sessions each month to connect with students throughout the admission cycle. Additionally, you will encourage applicants to visit SCAD, meet with them during their visit to discuss their interests, and address any questions they may have about the admission and enrollment processes.

In this position, you will participate in special events, including occasional evening and weekend work, as well as tour or visitation coverage. You will cover the Saturday admission shift at least four times per year. Additionally, you will travel to support off-campus events and other recruitment opportunities, prepare deposit-paid students for enrollment through proactive communication, and encourage quarterly balance payments by the published due date. Responsibilities include mentorship toward new hires as well as their onboarding, and follow-up training, the implementation of best practices for team advisement, and the coordination of adviser coverage for tour guests. You will also serve as post-tour captain and review résumés for team scholarship consideration.
