ROLE TITLE: Assistant, Regional Support (Temp)
POSITION REPORTS TO:  Executive Director, Greater Delta Region

LOCATION: Jackson, Mississippi 
 
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Assistant, Regional Support (Temp) provides operational support to the Greater Delta team and helps lead the execution and implementation of various administrative functions to ensure smooth operations within the Greater Delta region. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with the ability to manage multiple projects to help multiple regional functional teams meet regional compliance measures while helping to maintain a strong and positive staff and corps culture.  

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
  • Prepare and submit expense reports for the local recruitment team and Executive Director.
  • Provide strategic logistical and operational support for meetings and development activities.
  • Support all operational and logistical functions within the Greater Delta region.
  • Support in-person regional events, including regional summits, staff meetings, and corps events. 
  • Support internal systems work, including finance, compliance, and office administration. 
  • Collaborate with shared staff to help initiatives that enhance Teach For America-Greater Delta's social media presence and brand awareness.
  • Support strategy and execution of regional events and campaigns, such as Teacher Appreciation Week and Giving Campaigns.

A WEEK IN THE LIFE 
Over the course of any week the Coordinator, Regional Support will spend time:
  • Providing operations support to the local recruitment team and Executive Director through coordinating internal systems such as Workday Expense Reports
  • Supporting team and regional events
  • Supporting key regional initiatives in pursuit of our 2030 goal
  • Supporting the region's social media account

YOUR EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role (minimum qualifications):  
  • Prior related experience in operations and/or administration is helpful but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Some knowledge of the education and non-profit landscape in the community required.
  • Ability to work some weekends and evenings, lift and transport 30 pounds, and travel to in-person meetings within the community.
 
YOUR FUTURE TEAM
 The Assistant, Regional Support will work within a small, dedicated team committed to educational equity and impacting children and communities in the Greater Delta*Mississippi & Arkansas region positively. This person will work alongside CMs, staff, and community leaders in pursuit of the region's 2030 goal to impact 3rd grade reading outcomes and college and career readiness for students throughout the Greater Delta region.   

YOUR COMPENSATION
The applicable salary range for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below. These ranges may be modified in the future.
