Administrative Summary 
The Associate Director serves as secondary administrative coordinator for the Institute for Innovative Climate Solutions program, acting as a supportive leader in managing and enhancing all aspects of the program. As the secondary point of contact, the Associate Director ensures seamless communication and collaboration both within the program and with external partners, including coordinating in-person and virtual events and working groups. They will support and enhance the program’s strategic initiatives, research endeavors, operational effectiveness, and overall excellence, striving to elevate its standing and impact. The Associate Director will facilitate proposal development, and identification of funding sources for the Institute. The Associate Director will support and coordinate a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the program’s activities align with the college’s mission and goals. This includes fostering a supportive and dynamic environment and effective supervision for faculty, staff, and students, promoting innovative teaching methods, and advancing scholarly research. The Associate Director will support and manage sustainable budget practices for their program. The Associate Director will also play a crucial role in community outreach, building strong relationships with industry partners and community stakeholders, and advocating for the program at various levels. The Associate Director will receive a 5% (of selected candidate’s base salary) administrative stipend. This appointment is open to both FY and AY faculty. If an AY faculty member is selected, a summer contract will be negotiated with the Director annually.

Contingency Description 
This administrative appointment or the administrative portion of the faculty appointment is temporary. Employee acknowledges and agrees that in the event there is no longer a need for the administrative assignment, as determined by University in its sole discretion, University may change this Agreement and remove the administrative salary and/or course release during the contract year and employee may return to their faculty appointment, upon 60 days written notice.

Qualifications 
Minimum Education/Degree Required  | Listed degree qualification is required at time of hire.
Required Qualifications  | Current non-tenure track or tenure track assistant, associate or full professor in the College of Natural Resources. Open to fiscal year or academic year faculty. If selected candidate holds an academic year appointment, summer contract to be negotiated annually with the Director. Experience engaging partners and stakeholders to provide leadership for the program.
