Job Description:

Our high performing, fun and dynamic team is growing and currently hiring for an Associate Director of Graduate Student Recruitment. This position is responsible for the training, development and results of the recruitment team who engages prospective students of the graduate programs at W. P. Carey. With a flexible schedule designed to meet your work/life balance needs, the Associate Director will also design and execute all on campus and virtual recruitment and retention events as well as special projects that may include international recruitment and undergraduate pipeline development. Successful candidates should be forward-thinking self-starters and have excellent relationship building skills, as well as a passion for developing others. This position will supervise a team of recruiters who will use a consultative approach to provide prospective students with detailed information regarding the value of our graduate business programs as well as the application and admission and enrollment process. The Associate Director will support other recruitment activities locally and globally by attending education and career fairs, networking events, ASU events and other events that connect and build relationship with prospective students and the ASU community.
Days and Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00pm with extended hours including evenings and weekends as needed. In and out of state travel may be required. This role has the opportunity of hybrid work with a blended schedule of on campus and remote working days.
Position Salary Range:
- $70,000 - $75,000; to commensurate with education and experience
Essential Duties:
- Lead and mentor recruiters by setting clear performance expectations, leveraging Salesforce reports and dashboards to track progress, and providing coaching to foster a high-performance, results-oriented culture
- Oversee the execution of recruitment activities, including on-campus, virtual, and partner-hosted events, ensuring professional and impactful engagement with prospective students
- Implement recruitment strategies in alignment with the Director, using data insights to refine outreach tactics and support consistent applicant pipeline growth
- Ensure efficient execution of recruitment processes, maintain expertise across all graduate programs, and serve as the escalation point for prospective student concerns before elevating issues to the Director
- Manage a personal caseload of prospective students and represent the school at events and networking opportunities, both locally and internationally
- Collaborate with campus partners (e.g., alumni relations, corporate outreach, athletics, student groups) to execute recruitment initiatives and enhance the student experience
- Maintain accurate Salesforce records, generate reports, and ensure data integrity to support both team performance and Director-level strategic planning
- Fulfill travel commitments, which may include domestic and international trips
- Perform other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in higher education recruitment is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of higher education market and industry
- Two years sales management experience including implementing training programs and/or team building and motivational activities
- Proven track record of success in sales management or/or recruitment
- Experience in using leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with diverse populations and cultures
- Experience in applying recruiting/ selling techniques and methods
- Evidence of effective verbal and written communications, including grammar and spelling
- Evidence of being results oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks
- Experience in CRM systems such as PeopleSoft and Salesforce
- Experience effectively delivering presentations and ideas to large and small groups
Working Environment:
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work. Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds. Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities that may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions. This position requires significant evening and weekend work.
