Position Overview | This position provides leadership in program administration, student advising, and continuous improvement for the EdD program. The role manages daily operations, supports faculty and students, and ensures effective coordination across university departments. The position also contributes to program planning, assessment, and development initiatives that strengthen visibility, reputation, and student success.
Duties may include: Design, develop, and manage program operations, ensuring compliance with university, state, and federal policies Oversee program budgets, contracts, and grants; monitor expenditures and prepare reports Supervise and coordinate personnel supporting the program Advise EdD students on program requirements, milestones, and degree progress, serving as their primary point of contact Collaborate with faculty and the Program Director on planning, instruction, and addressing student needs Coordinate student services with administrative staff and other university departments Organize events and activities that support student engagement, professional development, and alumni connections Collect, analyze, and report program assessment and accreditation data to support ongoing program improvements Identify opportunities to enhance program visibility, reputation, and learning experiences Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications
Required Experience | Experience in higher education, with a focus on student advising, program coordination and academic support Experience working with learners Organizational, communication and relationship-building skills
Required Education | Master’s degree in education, or leadership
Required Other | None
Additional Preferred | Familiarity with hybrid and distance education models, including learning management systems and virtual engagement tools Background in program assessment, accreditation processes, or using data to drive improvements Proven ability to support recruitment and retention initiatives for graduate or professional programs Highly organized in planning and coordinating special events (e.g., immersions, orientation, workshops) and managing program documentation, events, and operational processes with precision Experienced in building strong collaborative partnerships with faculty, staff, university offices, and external partners to coordinate student services and advance program objectives Ability to work independently and collaboratively, anticipating needs and taking thoughtful action aligned with the program’s mission and values Familiarity with EdD or similar professional doctoral program structures and trends Commitment to effective advising practices, with a focus on accurate guidance and timely support for students
