Job Summary | The Associate Vice President for Finance serves as a strategic partner to the EVPFA, supporting enterprise-wide financial planning, modeling, and resource alignment. This role will complement and collaborate with many units within the EVPFA and EVPHA areas helping to integrate financial insights into institutional strategy and operations.
The AVP for Finance will focus on financial optimization, supporting cross-functional initiatives, and advancing tools and processes that enable data-informed decision-making. The role is designed to strengthen alignment between financial strategy and institutional priorities, without duplicating or overseeing existing finance functions. The AVP for Finance contributes to strategic initiatives, capital planning, budgeting and enterprise partnerships, and represents the EVPFA’s office in cross-functional efforts across the university enterprise.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate with peer offices to support integrated financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis across academic, administrative, and auxiliary units. Develop enterprise level financial models and scenario planning tools to inform strategic initiatives, capital investments, budgeting and enterprise partnerships. Provide financial insights and decision support to senior leadership, contributing to long-range planning and resource allocation. Provides executive-level financial guidance to support UK HealthCare’s strategic growth, including complex partnerships, acquisitions, and other enterprise initiatives. Advance financial literacy and transparency through accessible tools, dashboards, and engagement strategies. Represent Finance in cross-functional efforts including technology implementations, strategic planning, budgeting and enterprise risk management. Support alignment of financial strategy with institutional goals in areas such as enrollment, research, workforce, and infrastructure.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | CPA license required

Preferred Education/Experience | Demonstrated experience in financial strategy, planning, or analysis within a complex organization. Proven ability to collaborate across functions and influence outcomes through partnership. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Experience in higher education, healthcare, or public sector finance.
