Job Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring all monitoring systems are in place and operated as outlined in the UK Athletic Compliance Policies & Procedures, and in accordance with NCAA, SEC & University rules and regulations. Monitoring is a pillar of Athletic Compliance and the ability to effectively monitor areas of compliance, specifically playing and practice seasons, coach and staff personnel and drug testing, is a necessity to an athletic compliance unit and the ability to avoid an NCAA Failure to Monitor charge (one of the highest Level I violations). The Athletic Compliance Director will also provide interpretative assistance in areas of playing & practice seasons and personnel to coaches and staff, as well as conducting the NCAA & UK Drug Testing & Education program.
