The Automation Specialist is a strategic and technical resource responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing innovative business process improvements, leveraging advanced automation and artificial intelligence technologies. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to optimize processes, drive efficiency, and achieve quantifiable business outcomes and measurable cost savings. This includes knowledge and practical application of Microsoft tools, Generative AI, and process improvement methodologies. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
•    Collaborate with department leaders to proactively identify opportunities for process improvement by analyzing current workflows, assessing feasibility, and developing comprehensive project plans.
•    Lead the scoping, design, and implementation of process automation initiatives to bridge business gaps and improve efficiency. 
•    Maintain a governance process that captures optimization opportunities, assesses impact, and provides a framework for prioritization of opportunities.
•    Design, build, and deploy complex automations utilizing Power Automate, APIs, and other Microsoft tools to connect disparate business systems.
•    Utilize scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, JSON, and SQL to support automation objectives.
•    Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to IT and other technical teams. 
•    Strategically integrate Generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to enhance process automation, streamline data processing, and improve data analysis.
•    Develop and implement prompt strategies to optimize the performance of Generative AI applications.
•    Develop and utilize data analytics to monitor process performance and track efficiency gains.
•    Create comprehensive reports using Excel, Power BI, and SQL to communicate results and inform strategic decision-making.
•    Engage with stakeholders from across the organization to understand their needs and align process improvements with business objectives.
•    Coach and mentor colleagues in the use of automation tools and techniques, providing training and support.
•    Manage all aspects of process improvement projects, from initial scoping and planning to implementation and post-launch optimization.
•    Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies in process automation and AI.
   
YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:
•    3+ years of experience in business process analysis, automation development, and/or consulting
•    2+ years working for a SaaS Products organization
•    Expertise in Microsoft 365 tools, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot, etc. (or equivalent technologies)
•    Proven experience implementing large-scale changes across complex environments

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
•    Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU HAD:
•    Experience with automating generative AI systems and technical knowledge of popular LLMs and applicable uses. 
•    PL-200 or PL-400 certification

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:

Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30/40 days/quarter.
