NC State University is hiring a BEZOS Center Finance Manager. This role involves managing complex financial, research administration, compliance, and operational activities for the Bezos Center, including accounting, budgeting, auditing, and grants administration. The manager will partner with Center leadership and external stakeholders to provide financial guidance, manage priorities, and resolve financial and operational issues.
Highlights
Oversee Center financial operations, monitor budgets, and develop financial forecasts and summaries.
Manage the full sponsored research lifecycle from proposal support to project close-out, ensuring compliance with federal and institutional regulations.
Prepare and analyze financial reports and develop content for the Center’s Annual Report.
Process journal vouchers, audit payroll transactions, and monitor sub-awards and accounts.
Serve as liaison to university offices and external partners involved in financial and research administration.
Bachelor's degree with 12 credit hours of accounting or Associate's degree in Accounting or Business with accounting coursework required.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word for financial reporting.
Experience in financial management, preferably in academic or research-sponsored projects.
Knowledge of Federal Uniform Guidance and Cost Accounting Standards.
Additional duties may include HR support, event assistance, travel arrangements, and purchasing coordination.
