About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Inglewood, CA

Details:

In-Person Tutoring in Inglewood, CA
Schedule: 10 hours a month; 2 sessions a week for 1.15 hours
Rate is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

Literacy & Writing:
- Support foundational reading skills, including letter recognition, decoding, and comprehension.
- Provide guidance in writing, helping with letter formation, sentence construction, and clarity.
- Implement strategies to reduce confusion between letters and strengthen literacy confidence.
Math:
- Reinforce basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
- Use hands-on methods and visual aids to improve understanding and retention.
Engagement & Behavior Support:
- Help the student maintain focus and redirect attention as needed.
- Provide positive reinforcement to encourage task completion and participation.
- Implement strategies to reduce frustration, such as breaks, supportive language, and step-by-step instruction.
Collaboration:
- Communicate progress and challenges with the family.
- Coordinate with the student’s existing support services, including speech therapy and classroom modifications.

Key Responsibilities:
