At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in San Bernardino, CA! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in San Bernardino, CA

Details:
  • In-Person Tutoring in San Bernardino, CA
  • Schedule: 10 hours a month; 2 sessions a week for 1 hour and 15 mins
  • Pay rate is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (required). 
  •  Experience working with middle school students and/or students with autism. 
  •  Strong knowledge of reading comprehension strategies, writing instruction, and math concepts
  •  Ability to create engaging, structured, and individualized lessons
  •  Excellent communication, patience, and collaboration skills.
  • Patient, adaptable, and capable of building rapport with students with autism. 
  •  Skilled in academic instruction and scaffolding for middle school ELA and math. 
  •  Able to provide bilingual support and clear communication with families. 
  •  Experienced in helping students apply concepts independently while maintaining motivation and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reading & Writing:
    •  Support development of reading comprehension, including identifying key ideas, analyzing texts, and extracting relevant information. 
    •  Assist with writing skills, including organizing ideas, constructing clear sentences, and developing coherent paragraphs. 
    •  Provide structured guidance and scaffolding to build confidence and independence in reading and writing tasks. 
  • Math:
    •  Reinforce multiplication and division skills through practice and application. 
    •  Support understanding of 7th-grade math concepts, problem-solving, and application in real-world contexts. 
    •  Use visual aids, manipulatives, and step-by-step guidance to support learning. 
  • General Support:
    •  Develop customized lesson plans aligned with the student’s academic level and goals. 
    •  Maintain a positive, patient, and structured learning environment
    •  Communicate regularly with the family regarding progress, challenges, and strategies for reinforcement at home.
