Brand Protection Student Engagement Professional/Professional Aide Full Description

Unit Position Summary

The A-CAPP Center at MSU is looking for a professional individual with experience with career development, preparing job seekers and work with undergraduate, graduate and professional students for fractional work within its Student Internship Program now through spring semester (first week of May 2026) as a Brand Protection Student Engagement Professional. There may be an opportunity to extend work to the 2026-2027 academic year.

The BP Student Engagement Professional will serve as the primary resource for the undergraduate, graduate, and professional students' internship assignments either in a hybrid or remote environment. Specifically, the roles of this position are to facilitate small groups and individual meetings to discuss what they are learning and answer questions on:

  • Courses in the Professional Certificate in Fundamentals of Brand Protection. 
  • Mentorship Program
  • Research projects, if applicable.
  • Takedown and Notice work
  • Other content or career related topics in brand protection.  

The position will work two days a week for approximately 10-15 hours on set days/times based on the to be determined student A-CAPP in-office work day(s). 

This position will also play a role in the A-CAPP Brand Protection Strategy Summit, where A-CAPP students are highlighted March 17-19, 2026, which will be held in Dearborn, MI.

Desired Qualifications

We are looking for an individual with a Bachelor's degree and at least one year experience in brand protection and workforce development of college students or above.

We will consider individuals with 5+ years experience in the field of brand protection and workforce development in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.
