About the Role
As a founding Business Development Representative (BDR) at Macabacus, you’ll play a key role in driving new business growth. This role is designed for a highly motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.  Reporting to the Director of Sales, you’ll focus on generating and qualifying new leads, building pipeline, and introducing Macabacus to new prospective customers. Success in this role will set you up to grow into a quota-carrying sales position, with strong mentorship and professional development opportunities.

What You’ll Do 
  • Identify and research target companies and key personas in our ideal customer profile 
  • Use email, phone, and LinkedIn to run thoughtful, personalized outbound outreach 
  • Clearly communicate Macabacus’ value proposition and qualify interest 
  • Ask discovery questions to understand prospect needs and fit 
  • Book meetings for Account Executives and ensure smooth handoffs 
  • Track activity and outcomes in the CRM 
  • Share learnings and collaborate with sales and marketing to improve messaging and targeting 
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly activity and pipeline generation targets. 

What You’ll Bring 
Some experience in sales or customer-facing roles, or a strong interest in building a career in sales 
  • Comfortable reaching out to new people and starting conversations 
  • Familiarity with CRMs or prospecting tools is a plus, but not required 
  • Bonus if you have exposure to B2B SaaS or finance workflows (we’ll teach you what you need to know)
