Job Summary  | The University of Utah’s Office of the Registrar is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy professional to support the transition to more efficient, digital academic operations. This role plays a key part in modernizing student services by designing and maintaining electronic forms, managing academic calendars, supporting student information system (SIS) configurations and the CRM system, and ensuring data integrity and security. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to streamline processes, enhance data reporting, and contribute to the successful deployment of technologies including online forms, CRM systems, third party systems that support registrar-activities and SIS enhancements.


Responsibilities  | Support the transition from paper-based to electronic workflows by designing, building, and maintaining digital forms using the university’s e-forms platform (Gideon Taylor). Ensure forms are user-friendly, compliant with ADA and institutional standards, and integrated with relevant systems. Training will be provided. Develop and maintain the university’s official academic calendars and internal process calendars for the Registrar’s Office. Coordinate with academic and administrative units to ensure accuracy and timely publication. Assist with academic structure setup in the SIS (PeopleSoft), including academic calendars, terms, sessions, academic careers, programs, plans, sub-plans, and course catalog data. Maintain institution and academic organization codes to support accurate reporting and system functionality. Collaborate with functional and technical teams to test and implement SIS updates and enhancements. Perform regular audits of user access and security roles within the SIS to ensure compliance with institutional policies and FERPA regulations. Assist with the administration and optimization of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Serve as a backup for processing security requisitions, including role assignments and access provisioning for student data systems. Coordinate with University Information Technology to resolve access issues and implement security best practices. Manage and process daily, scheduled, and ad hoc data reports for the Registrar’s Office and other campus departments. Respond to internal and external data requests, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with university policies. Work closely with the Associate Registrar for Student Systems and the Manager of Student Systems to support ongoing projects and initiatives. Provide technical and functional support for Registrar-related systems and processes. Assist with testing, documentation, and training related to SIS functionality and updates.
Other Duties as assigned: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the mission and operations of the Registrar’s Office.


Minimum Qualifications  | Requires an associate’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts.
