Job Description  | The Career Specialist at Falk College of Sport plays a vital role in guiding students in Exercise Science, Nutrition, Sport Analytics, and Sport Management toward successful careers in the sport, health, and business industries. This position focuses on individualized career coaching, professional skill development, and industry engagement to ensure students are well-prepared for internships and employment opportunities. The Career Specialist will collaborate with faculty, advisors, and employers to provide students with the tools and connections necessary for career success, they will also conduct workshops and/or teach courses related to professional development and career readiness.

This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.
Education and Experience  | Bachelor’s degree in career counseling, exercise science, sport management, sport analytics, nutrition, or a related field; 2-4 years of experience in career services or student success. Master’s degree in student personnel, higher education administration, or a closely related field and industry experience in one of the college disciplines is preferred.

Skills and Knowledge  | Experience providing career coaching and professional development programming. Strong connections with exercise science, nutrition, sport analytics, and/or sport management professionals and employers. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work evening and weekend hours as required for career events and networking opportunities.
