Advertising/Posting Title | College of Arts and Sciences HR Administrator
Posting Summary | Reporting to the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Assistant Dean for Business Operations with limited oversight, the CAS HR Administrator will oversee and lead high-level complex Human Resource (HR) management operations for CAS using independent judgement, provide guidance, solutions and resources to Dean, and Dean’s leadership team on complex personnel, performance and staffing issues of college faculty and staff, serve as CAS HR expert and point of contact with central offices for HR, Labor & Employee Relations, and other personnel issues, be responsible for all aspects of CAS College Administrative Services (CAS-CAS) support staff structure in the HR/Faculty actions hub. develop business process re-engineering efforts for CAS; seek out alternative methods of solving business problems including the examination of “best practices”; and develop and implement new approaches, provide leadership to CAS-CAS team and supervise HR/Faculty Actions operations.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) | Bachelor’s degree in a related or specialized field and five to six years’ related or specific experience required. Familiarity with principles of employment law, labor relations, leave management and experience in compliance with related regulations required. Ability to coordinate complex projects, attention to detail and accuracy, and effective oral and written communication. Proficiency with Excel and data management required. Experience with complex personnel and performance issues required. Experience with supervision, including training, required.

Desirable Qualifications | Experience with PeopleSoft, PeopleAdmin and Microsoft Office applications highly desirable. Experience with higher education administration desirable.
Anticipated Pay Range | $85,000-$95,000

Special Conditions | A probationary period may be required, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
