Job Summary:

The Community Specialist Co-op is all about connecting our clients to the people and resources they need to support teaching and learning in the 21st century.  To do this you will help triage and respond to questions posted to our Discussion Forum and delivered to our email inbox. You will help to review and revise content in the Brightspace Learning Center to ensure accessibility and quality standards are implemented. We are looking for someone who can bring their enthusiasm and passion for supporting others to the Brightspace Community.

How Will I Make an Impact? 

  • Respond to inbound communications efficiently, connecting with internal Subject Matter Experts, creating relevant content or redirecting to the right engagement point.
  • Participate in team meetings, providing status updates on count of unanswered questions, and time to first response
  • Review and update Brightspace Learning Center content ensuring quality and accessibility measures are met
  • Review and analyze data from the to communicate insights about future content and activities to contribute to community experience improvements

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Excellent communication and relationship skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Experience with online learning management software an asset
  • Experience with HTML/CSS an asset
  • Experience with online community forums an asset
  • Familiarity and interest in AI tools (e.g. ChatGBT, Copilot, etc.)

The expected weekly salary range for a student hire in this role is listed below. The base salary offered is determined by each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and school specific salary surveys.
