Role Overview
Elevo seeks a Product Manager to shape the next generation of programming for Expanded Learning Opportunities in California. This role is ideal for a product manager who understands the unique demands and opportunities of expanded learning environments—where instructional time, staffing models, and student needs differ from core-day classrooms.

In this role, you will define the strategic vision for expanded learning products, guide roadmap execution, and partner deeply with district leaders, program directors, on-site staff, and internal teams to ensure products meet the realities of out-of-school time. You will be responsible for translating complex program needs into intuitive, research-backed solutions that support student engagement, well-being, and enrichment.

Key Responsibilities
Market & Field Research

Lead research to build a detailed internal understanding of trends in expanded learning—such as enrichment priorities, SEL integration, summer and intersession priorities, and scheduling structures.
Partner with district expanded learning leaders who may or may not use Elevo’s products to gather insights on program challenges, goals, and constraints.
Conduct competitive analysis to understand how products compare and identify areas for differentiation or opportunities in the market.
Develop research plans that include site visits, interviews, observations, focus groups, and pilot experiences with customers, and with districts that do not yet use Elevo.
Stay current on education policy, standards updates, pedagogical research, and EdTech innovations to inform product strategy.
Collaborate with the Product Development team to validate concepts and prototypes through user feedback and data.

Product Vision & Strategy
Drive the product vision and roadmap for Elevo’s expanded learning product portfolio.
Identify gaps and opportunities unique to afterschool or extended-day settings.
Develop and pitch new product concepts or features that elevate student engagement and contribute to Elevo’s growth within the expanded learning marketplace.
Translate insights from district partners, families, coaches, and students into strategic priorities and high impact feature sets.

Design & Development Leadership
Collaborate closely with curriculum developers, field operations specialists, and UX designers to build tailored solutions.
Lead prototyping, user testing, and pilots in a wide range of program models—including enrichment, recess, summer, intersession, sport, and expanded learning programs.
Create product requirements, design briefs, and documentation for internal teams.
Ensure products are easy to implement, flexible, engaging, and aligned to district goals for extended learning time.

District & Partner Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with program directors, site coordinators, expanded learning administrators, and district leadership.
Serve as the product expert for sales, partnerships, professional learning, and implementation teams.
Support customer-facing engagements, including Sales calls, demos, pilot programs, training sessions, and district strategy conversations.
Represent user voices (district, school-site, family, and students) to internal teams.

Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Track adoption, engagement, and student impact metrics for Elevo’s suite of products.
Adjust strategy and roadmap based on data, user sentiment, partner feedback, and program constraints.
Identify opportunities to strengthen outcomes through redesigned features, improved usability, or enhanced instructional supports.

Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS or equivalent experience
2+ years of product management experience in K–12 education
Experience designing or developing curriculum or digital products
Experience with direct user research (interviews, pilots, observations, journey mapping)
Market research experience
Former classroom or expanded learning teaching experience
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Proven ability to think strategically and execute tactically
Collaborative mindset and ability to lead cross-functional workstreams

Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in education, curriculum, or related field
