The Controller is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company’s financial reporting and for providing strong leadership over the accounting function. This role oversees General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Payroll operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, effective internal controls, and scalable processes to support continued growth.

The Controller will lead and oversee the accounting team while driving operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across all accounting processes.

What You'll Do: 
  • Oversee core accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Payroll, ensuring effective processes and compliance.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring technical accuracy and strong internal controls.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and complex account analyses.
  • Research, interpret, and apply technical accounting guidance, including ASC 606 revenue recognition and other emerging standards.
  • Strengthen and maintain a robust internal control environment and proactively identify financial reporting risks.
  • Serve as a primary liaison with external auditors and lead audit readiness efforts.
  • Drive process improvement and optimization initiatives, leveraging ERP systems and automation to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering accountability, technical excellence, and continuous growth.
  • Partner cross-functionally, including with FP&A, to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives such as system implementations and acquisitions.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements
  • BA/BS in Accounting; CPA required.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition (ASC 606).
  • Demonstrated experience researching and implementing complex accounting guidance.
  • Proven track record of building, managing, and developing high-performing accounting teams.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and financial reporting risk management.
  • ERP system experience, with demonstrated ability to improve systems and processes.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
