Job Summary  | Coordinates the Reciprocal Inclusive Student Experience (RISE) Program internship experience for student participants. Provides job training and on-site job coaching to student participants. Oversees peer mentor job coaches. Identifies internship opportunities in collaboration with Northeast Ohio businesses and non-profit partners. Delivers non-credit career development courses to RISE program participants. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications  | Bachelor’s degree preferably in special education, disability studies, occupational therapy, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications  | Master’s degree preferably in special education, disability studies, occupational therapy, or related field. Experience working with transition age (14-22) individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Experience providing job training and coaching for individuals with disabilities. Experience leading team planning and implementing individualized education programs (IEP) for students with disabilities age fourteen (14) or older.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)  | Basic knowledge of functional limitations of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and of rights of these individuals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to organize and maintain communication with community members and job sites. Excellent interpersonal skills, “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery, and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to engage, communicate, and resolve issues with student participants of diverse backgrounds and needs. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
