Job Description:
The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering Office of Academic and Student Affairs is seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused, and detail-oriented professional to serve as the Coordinator Senior, Outreach and Recruitment. Reporting to the Director of Outreach and Recruitment, this position plays a critical role in engaging and recruiting prospective and admitted undergraduate students for all engineering programs within the Fulton Schools.

The Coordinator Senior leads comprehensive recruitment efforts through a variety of communication channels - including phone outreach, email, virtual engagement, and in-person meetings - and represents the Fulton Schools at high-impact recruitment events. While the position is primarily based on the ASU Tempe campus, regular travel to the Polytechnic campus is required, and occasional out-of-state travel may be necessary to support broader recruitment initiatives.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $64,000 per year; DOE.

Essential Duties:
  • Proactively recruit first-year and transfer students for the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering undergraduate degree programs. Engage with prospective students through in-person and virtual presentations, recruitment events, one-on-one meetings, phone and email communications, and personalized follow-ups. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all student interactions and action items in Salesforce or PeopleSoft.
  • Coordinate, develop, and execute internal and external communications to prospective and admitted students, including newsletters, letters, and phone or email outreach. Support efforts to enhance the student experience and drive engagement throughout the recruitment and admission lifecycle.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute recruitment events and activities across ASU Tempe and Polytechnic campuses, including Experience ASU sessions, Sun Devil Days, high school visits, and community college outreach. Ensure events are effectively staffed, marketed, and aligned with enrollment goals.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to the Coordinator, Outreach and Recruitment position, ensuring high standards of performance, professional development, and alignment with departmental goals.
  • Partner with the Director of Outreach and Recruitment to design, implement, and evaluate recruitment and yield strategies across all eight Fulton Schools of Engineering.
  • Lead the Fulton Summer Academy and related summer high school enrichment programs, ensuring operational excellence, participant engagement, and alignment with recruitment objectives.
  • Serve as a key resource to resolve complex student recruitment issues or challenges, escalating to the Director as needed and implementing solutions to maintain smooth admissions processes.
  • Research, benchmark, and recommend undergraduate student recruitment best practices. Propose and implement innovative recruitment initiatives and strategies to enhance enrollment outcomes.
  • Participate in special projects, as directed.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Evidence of a master's degree in higher education or related field.
  • Experience working in a higher education environment in admissions, marketing and/or recruitment fields.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to detail.
  • Experience in CRM systems such as PeopleSoft and Salesforce.
  • Experience effectively delivering presentations and ideas to small and large groups.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional units/teams.
  • Evidence of effective communication skills.
  • Experience supervising students and/or professional staff.

Working Environment:
  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds
  • Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions
  • This is an on-campus position located on the ASU Tempe campus, while also traveling to the ASU Polytechnic campus 1-2 times a week.
  • Weekend and evening work hours as needed.
