Curriculum Professional Learning Facilitator - Lexia Learning Products (CA, FL, TX, UT)

Independent Contractor Overview:
In search of Independent Contractors to conduct professional learning and consultation services for schools and districts across the country for our Lexia Learning products (Core5, PowerUp, and Lexia English Language Development).

Location: This is a USA, remote/hybrid position that consists of live online and in person facilitation that takes place during school hours. Candidates will reside ideally in CA, FL, TX, and UT for prioritized consideration.

Contractor Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate professional learning sessions for our educators primarily in the states above and when needed, across the country
  • Participate and support on-boarding and ongoing internal training of our products
  • Work collaboratively with the Manager of Professional Facilitators to ensure the delivery of successful, engaging and effective learning experiences
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to understand the intention behind each session and customize as needed
  • Collaborate and advise the Learning and Development and Product teams as they develop materials for onsite use
  • Review survey data and apply the feedback toward professional growth
  • Complete post-learning experience report within specified time frames
  • Enhance the existing internal training program by adding additional tasks/information and actively coaching those going through internal professional learning.
  • Facilitate quarterly calls with other national facilitators to share best practices
  • Stay abreast of the latest research in the area of delivery and share those with others within our organization

Contractor Requirements:
  • Availability to facilitate professional learning live online or in-person sessions 3-4 days a month during school hours. Also meet occasional needs before/after school hours and Saturdays (Weekend travel occasionally).
  • Bachelor's degree in education required; Master’s degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of teaching experience in K-12 education
  • At least 2 years experience as literacy and/or instructional coach, providing professional learning to adult learners
  • Located near a major airport and can travel nationally with overnight stays

Preferred Skills, Experience, Competencies:
  • >2 years ESL instruction in K-12 preferred
  • Superior facilitation with active engagement and confident presentation skills
  • Strong ability to motivate K-12 educators
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and ability to multitask
  • Flexibility with delivering learning sessions in the early morning and evening

Required Training:
  • Completion of Lexia Learning product online coursework; approximately 40 hours per Onboarding Notebook (self-paced with compensation after successful phase completion)
  • Attendance and completion of Live Online Onboarding sessions; approximately 24 hours of training (compensation upon completion of requirements)
  • Complete all designated facilitated sessions (3 Live Online sessions per product)
  • Observe 2 hours of training (Live Online)
  • Co-train at least 1 session with a training in the field (Live Online)
  • Additional training as needed in person and via webinar
  • Completion of ongoing professional learning sessions accessible in web-based platform
