Job Summary | The College of Public Health’s Public Health Analytics and Informatics unit is seeking a Data Management Specialist to join the team. This position is located in Frankfort, Kentucky, and will be working on the Department of Medicaid Services contract with the State of Kentucky.
This position will develop efficient and reusable SQL code meant for improvement, manipulation, and analysis of data. Performs data conversions from several data sources, writes code, identifies relevant trends, prepares reports & visualizations, and develops dashboards. Alongside senior database analysts and statisticians, this position will analyze contract-specific data. The Data Management Specialist will work, under the guidance of the principal investigator, to complete projects as necessitated by the contract stakeholder.
We are looking for someone who is ready to learn and willing to advance within the team.
This position is currently remote with occasional in-person meetings in Frankfort, KY.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Prior healthcare and data mining/modeling experience. Development and management skills. Working knowledge of Tableau, T-SQL and PL/SQL. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Knowledge and experience in a health care environment.

Preferred Education/Experience | Preferred Experience in working with various data types, including healthcare data; advanced statistical skills.
