About the Role:
Are you passionate about AI and looking to make a significant impact ? Wiley is seeking a dynamic individual to lead our AI licensing business development efforts. This role is pivotal in establishing a sustainable revenue stream and expanding our AI business through strategic partnerships. 
 
How you will make an impact:
  • Lead business development for AI licensing, establishing a sustainable revenue stream for Wiley
  • Build and manage relationships with key AI companies ranging from Big Tech to emerging startups, liaising with product teams to expand AI business.
  • Provide market insight and understanding to guide strategy in AI and digital licensing.
  • Prospect for new opportunities
  • Structure and negotiate complex data licensing and strategic partnership agreements
  • Develop business cases for new partnership models, with clear ROI frameworks
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, product, and content teams to ensure successful implementation
  • Manage existing licensee accounts, reporting on partnership performance metrics and providing strategic recommendations
  • Represent Wiley at industry events, becoming a recognized ambassador for our AI initiatives

What we look for:
  • Experience in AI, Tech, or SaaS sector
  • 5+ years in business development or sales role
  • Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex partnership deals, particularly for content or data licensing
  • Established network within the Bay Area AI ecosystem, including connections to large AI developers and promising startups preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts to various audiences
  • Self-motivated with a bias toward action and creative problem-solving
  • Experience working in entrepreneurial environments and comfort with ambiguity
  • Bachelor's Degree

Salary Range:139,300 USD to 204,233 USD
