The Director, Enterprise Architecture is responsible for leading the strategic design, development, and execution of the organization’s technology architecture to ensure alignment with business objectives. The Director provides visionary leadership and leverages expertise in enterprise architecture methodologies, frameworks, and tools to guide cross-functional teams in developing scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions. By maintaining a proactive focus on emerging technologies, best practices, and business alignment, the Director drives results in technology transformation, operational efficiency, and value delivery.

As the trusted partner to business and technology stakeholders, the Director, Enterprise Architecture collaborates with executive leadership, IT, business units, and external partners to set strategic outcomes and measurable objectives. The Director monitors architecture governance, performance metrics, and technology roadmaps to assess progress and ensure the organization is on track to realizing maximum value from technology investments. The Director operates as an enterprise advocate and cross-functional leader, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization and risk mitigation, and recommending architectural solutions that enable organizational agility and innovation.

In this role you will:
  • Lead the vision, strategy, and execution for enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, business priorities, and technology standards.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders to define technology roadmaps, business capability models, and enterprise-wide architectural frameworks.
  • Foster a collaborative culture, building and mentoring a high-performing team of architects and technical leads.
  • Orchestrate the adoption and governance of enterprise architecture standards, methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman), and best practices across the organization.
  • Develop consultative partnerships with key business and technology leaders to understand current and future needs, identifying strategic opportunities to leverage technology for business value.
  • Oversee the evaluation, selection, and integration of enterprise technology platforms including but not limited to cloud, SaaS, PaaS, data analytics, cybersecurity, and application platforms.
  • Utilize architectural modeling tools (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect, LeanIX, ArchiMate, ServiceNow CMDB) to document, analyze, and optimize enterprise architecture artifacts.
  • Drive architecture review boards and steering committees, providing governance, executive reporting, and recommendations to ensure solution alignment and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to inform architecture decisions and evolve organizational technology capabilities.
  • Advocate for technology innovation and transformation initiatives in collaboration with business and IT leaders.
  • Measure, monitor, and communicate architecture maturity and value delivery across the enterprise.

You’ve got what it takes if you...
  • Have a B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Display 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or technology leadership, including 5+ years in a strategic leadership role.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF) and modeling tools (e.g., Sparx, LeanIX, ArchiMate).
  • Have a proven record of strategic leadership, transformational change, and team-building in complex IT environments.
  • Possess deep expertise in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), SaaS, SOA, data architecture, information security, and enterprise platforms.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Are highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
  • Have a passion for technology innovation, continuous learning, and enterprise enablement.
  • Are able to adapt to changes in technology, business priorities, and cross-functional roles.
